Recruitment for Client - Windchill System Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Windchill System Engineer for the customer's PLM/PDM team in Lund.

The PLM & Engineering Systems team supports the company by maintaining and optimizing the Windchill and Thingworx systems within the R&D organization.

You will be responsible for upgrading, patching and customizing Windchill, developing custom code for new features and maintaining the server infrastructure in collaboration with the IT department. This role involves frequent interaction with different teams across all locations to support system owners and ensure smooth operation and future capacity planning of the systems.

• Upgrade, patch, and perform server customization of Windchill.
• Develop custom code to solve problems and add new functionality to Windchill.
• Collaborate with IT to optimize and maintain servers, operating systems, and networks related to Windchill systems.
• Plan and monitor backup and recovery processes.
• Support system owners regarding the system's future capabilities.
• Maintain communication with diverse teams to understand and meet user requirements.

Basic qualifications

• University level education in software development.
• Experience with development of web-based solutions using Web Services, Java, JavaScript, JSON, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of server-side setup and maintenance of web-based solutions including Apache and Tomcat.
• Deep knowledge of the Windchill platform.
• Skills in Windows servers and networking.

Meritorious skills, characteristics and experience

• Experience with system security and SSO configuration for Windchill and Thingworx.
• Knowledge of Pingfederate configuration with Thingworx.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Windchill cluster setup and load balancing.
• Service-minded approach and ability to work both independently and in teams.
• Good communication skills for working with diverse personnel and roles.
